This app is fantastic. It shows you the crime ridden neighborhoods so that you can protect yourself and your families when visiting unknown areas. There is no reason a person should put themselves in harms way voluntarily, and this app shows you where its safe to go. One of the best apps in the app store because it may save your life. The other apps did not show any crimes in some notoriously dangerous neighborhoods around me. Im very happy I found this app.

Downloaded and launched and immediately a max volume alert blared out. My phone is on silent. No way to turn off the sound?? Woke up my wife. Lame.

Very helpful application and is easy to use even with no site. great with voiceover. Thank you for making useable with speech.

This app is pointless. Crime data is old and unreliable. Why would you ever use this gps to go around crime that has happened 2 weeks ago. Who cares. Terrible app

The interface is horrible and not user friendly. And it seems the red zones are not updated to date. I went on a trip to Los Angeles and avoided to pointed out red zones but I still got robbed at night. The app didnt do what it was supposed to. I just uninstalled immediately afterwards.

You may want to reconsider your representation of "high-crime" neighborhoods. Outlining minority neighborhoods in red lines was historically used by the government to deny services to non-white residents. On a different note, I live smack-dab in the middle of a "RedZone" neighborhood, and I have basically never felt unsafe, except in the middle of the night. One nuance you may consider is dividing crime statistics by time of day. Many "high-crime" neighborhoods are perfectly safe during the day.

The app showed crime information and then it disappeared. New version has no icons. Update has not improved anything

App works very slow and when the data finally loads it is out of date and seems flawed. NYC has a ton of shootings listed and just one theft. That cant be right. Theres no detail or source information either. Where are these reports coming from?

I like the interface and the ability to see the areas with high crime rate... And if you can add the news element to it, it would seem a credible to me as a user. One more thing, I as a user post a report it a sighting, I should be able to take it down. The feature would help as well, cuz we make mistakes at times :) But, nice effort to make this worked a safer place. Thank you

I downloaded this to check crime statistics for an area a family member was considering moving to. We were on the road and I needed a fast option. I noticed that despite the very sketchy appearance of the neighborhood and what appeared to even be a fairly obvious open air drug deal going down, there were no crimes reported for that area. Suspicious of the lack of results, I searched an area in my home state that I was familiar with and personally knew had a very high crime rate. It had the same results as the area we were originally checking, none. Thats when I realized the results were incorrect and useless. This app only reports the obvious results from major metro areas or rural areas with astronomical crime rates and major crimes like murders. If you search a fringe area with a high crime rate that consists mostly of crimes like drugs, burglaries, vehicle break-ins and thefts, etc and doesnt include murders, its likely to receive a clean report. Do not use this if youre trying to check an area to relocate to or other similarly important purposes.

I used to be afraid driving to work at night, with redzone I feel much safer driving to work at night

I feel like we are taking steps further to create more and more technological surveillance. There are way too many apps designed to monitor our everyday lives. Nobody just "lives" anymore.

The app crashes about 30 seconds after I open it. Ive tried restarting it, but it doesnt work. The map doesnt even show up. Wait until they update it. This could be something great if they would develop it a little more.

For a second it said there were crimes in my area. Scrolled somewhere else and came back to see everything was gone?

Beside from being potentially immoral it also doesnt work

I accidentally was searching the app and hit the pothole alert. There is not a way for me to undo it. Why not???

Great crashing simulator 10/10 enjoyed looking at my home screen after 3 seconds

Both the concept and the implementation are hugely flawed.
